Meet Suzanne

Hello,

I’m a professional supervisor, educator and counsellor who is passionate about helping people experience positive change and live their best life now.

My experience spans 16 years in counselling across private practice, schools, faith-based organisations, Indigenous communities, NDIS, and mental health. Before that, I worked for over 10 years in corporate HR, training, and change management, including founding a women’s empowerment business in Singapore.

I am deeply passionate about supervision because I believe it is one of the most powerful ways to support, strengthen, and sustain counsellors, ministry workers and front line employees in their special work. Im especially passionate about supervision on supervision; as its impact is far reaching!

Supervision provides a safe and reflective space where practitioners can grow in confidence, navigate challenges, and maintain ethical, client-centred practice. I find great purpose in walking alongside professionals as they build resilience, deepen their skills, connect with their values and purpose, and build thriving practices.

In the counselling space i use CBT, ACT, and most recently Resource Therapy, a wonderful part therapy that is transformative (read more about it on my blog page). I have extensive experience in trauma and believe it a privilege to support clients in their healing journey.

As a small business, I believe in using the work I do to make a difference beyond the therapy room. A portion of the proceeds from my services is directed toward supporting the Asian Aid Night Care program—an initiative that provides safety, shelter, and hope to vulnerable children in need in Cambodia.

This giving strategy reflects my core values of compassion, community, and justice. Every session, workshop, or supervision you engage with contributes in a small but meaningful way to the wellbeing of others.

Together, we’re creating ripple effects of care—both locally and globally. If you are interested in this initiative please head to https://www.asianaid.org.au/nightcare/

Blog

Suzanne Bocking supervision, education and counselling acknowledges the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the original and ongoing custodians of the lands and waters on which we live and work.

We pay tribute to elders past and present and acknowledge that they have cared for this country over countless generations. We recognize the continuing contribution that the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people make to the life of Australia and pray that we can work together to leave a legacy of reconciliation, justice and hope for all future Australians.
